I was recommended the Hyderabad based start-up Zippr by some friends who were really impressed with its simplicity and the problem their Zippr apps it sets out to solve. Here are my 2 cents on Zippr.

Zippr Founder, Aditya Vuchi says  ‘Zippr is a central location management platform that enables users to create shortcodes (Zipprs) for any location on the planet and share it with friends/vendors avoiding low-value conversations around communicating or finding an address’.

At a 1st glimpse, it looks like a peppy, well designed, youthful app with a good selection of design elements and colors. The interface is tile based and is very immersive yet quick to use. I could instantly create a few Zippr Codes for some of my favorite places and also request for a Premium Zippr with my own custom code that was surprisingly approved within a couple of hours.

The more i used the app the more insight it gave me into the true potential of a Zippr Code and that Zippr intends to be more of a platform as compared to a consumer app. So far I’ve used Zippr in multiple cases such as calling friends over for dinner, business meetings, social hangouts etc but when I say ‘platform’ i can imagine a time where I would only need to use my Zippr code for all address-based transactions, you know the Pizza delivery, grocery delivery, E-Com ordering, Postal system, Aadhar card, and the list goes on!

I’ve also come across Zippr’s recent integration with 108 Emergency services, and this I felt was a true slam-dunk integration. Now 108 s accepting Zippr code. Now we are talking about saving so much time in communicating addresses to a 108 call center person, where they in the past would ask for Mandal, village, pin code, landmark etc and then connect me to a driver to further guide him, but with Zippr all I do is create a code in a flash and give it to 108 and the ambulance can find me, we are talking about lives here and very truly time and location are so crucial that Zippr fits the bill perfectly.

Zippr has set out to solve a major pain-point in our lives that we have ignored very conveniently so far, I’ve become an avid user of Zippr and have seen friends use it for weddings, on business cards and so on, so lets stop wasting time explaining or finding an address lets get Zippr to solve this problem.

I am Zippr’d and loving it! are you?
