TiE Hyderabad Launches TiE Young Entrepreneurs (TYE) Program for High School Students

The 12 day program culminates with a business plan competition and cash prizes at the regional level.  Students who win their local business plan competition will have an opportunity to win a GRAND PRIZE of $10,000 in the Global Competition 

Hyderabad July 7^th, 2017: TiE Hyderabad today announced the Launch of Young Entrepreneurs (TYE) program for school students of grade 9-12. TYE is a focused training workshop to nurture young minds and encourage them to be entrepreneurs. The program was formally launched by Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary, ITE&C Department, Government of Telangana, through a Poster Release in Hyderabad today. 

TYE Entrepreneurial Education program comprising sessions on 12 Sundays for 4 hours, is put together to stimulate entrepreneurial thought process through entrepreneurship coaching to young undergraduate and helping them discover the rewards and challenges of becoming an entrepreneur. 

Announcing the details of the Program Pradeep Mittal, President TiE Hyderabad said – “If we want to see more entrepreneurship creation and witness true economic impact, we need to support schools and help their students engage with the business community in entrepreneurial education in a sustainable manner. TYE’s business education initiative is a step in this direction to inspire young minds to be entrepreneurs through mentor-based workshops by established industry leaders, acknowledged for their innovation, leadership skills, creativity and self-confidence.” . We are also excited to announce in 2016 TYE winner from Hyderabad won: THE BEST PRESENTATION AWARD at the global competition held at California.

Unveiling the TYE 2017 Poster today Principal secretary, ITE&C Department, Government of Telangana, Jayesh Ranjan said “Welcoming the move to start the TYE initiative by TiE Hyderabad in the city at the school level, he said there is an strong need to encourage job creators and catch them early, citing examples of many of the successful entrepreneurs who had started off at a very young age.  He added, TYE is a good supportive opportunity for young students to nurture their passion early and groom themselves to become young entrepreneurs while being a student. The important point here is TYE is starting right at the school level and will go on to support them as they grow up to become entrepreneurs in the future.” 

Sharing his thoughts about TYE idea Venkatesh Narasimhan , Co-Chair TYE and Sr.VP, Red Pine Signals said “TYE through its dedicated workshops fosters entrepreneurship through seeding the right thoughts in the young minds early in their life which will align with their aspirations and goals.”.
