MYGLAMM ACQUIRES BABYCHAKRA, ENTERS THE BABYCARE SEGMENT.
3 years ago Rituka MMyGlamm acquires BabyChakra after the PopXO acquisition, aims to create an extensive community of women & blitz the baby-care & parenting segment.
Personalized and cruelty-free beauty & personal care products have become essential for the women of today. Direct to Consumer personal & beauty-care brand, MyGlamm recently acquired BabyChakra, a parenting platform, and forayed into the babycare segment. Having previously acquired PopXO, Priyanka Gill, Founder, PPopXO joined MyGlamm as a co-founder with PopXO’s investors Chiratae Ventures, Kalaari Capital, Neoplux Venture Capital joining the board.
As a part of the acquisition, MyGlamm and Baby Chakra will be investing Rs 100 crore in building a mother-and-baby content-to-commerce platform over the next three years. However, BabyChakra shall continue to work as an independent entity under the MyGlamm umbrella and continue its content community strategy. BabyChakra will build out its own mom-baby category products with the product partnership of MyGlamm. Joining the MyGlamm board, Naiyya Saggi, Founder & CEO, BabyChakra, will join the MyGlamm Group as the Co-founder & President, and will spearhead the Mom-Baby vertical and also build the overall community vertical for the Group.
Their platforms cumulatively have a growing community of over 80 million women and over 220,000 influencers. MyGlamm was launched in 2017 & the brand has over 15,000 PoS across 70 cities in India and is also available online through their website. MyGlamm has over 800 SKUs across makeup, skincare, personal care, & haircare, and recently raised Rs. 530 crore through their Series C funding round.

On Future Plans
Talking about their plans, Saggi commented, “We are ramping up our D2C journey with the MyGlamm partnership and in the next 3 years, our goal is to reach a Rs 500 crore revenue run rate for our products. “Over the 8-12 months itself, we are gearing up to launch a portfolio of 80-plus mom and baby personal care products with 50% of them launching this year itself.â€ÂÂ
