MeraEvents – Handing over the reins to new blood
8 years ago Saloni AnandIsn’t it difficult to give away your legos? Yes it is, but unavoidable when it comes to scaling up a startup. Very often startups reach stagnation and the amazing entrepreneurs who brought it into life are not enough to take it to the next level. It then gets necessary to find the new leaders who will not just get new perspective and experience to the table but also understand the vision of your company. The real challenge lies in identifying who do you handover the legos to build your next big tower. MeraEvents, a Hyderabad born event listing, promotion and ticketing technology company, steered out of a similar situation by adding two new heroes of the corporate world. Mr Ramana Reddy will be driving growth as Head of Corporate Finance & Investments and Mr Harmeet Gulati will act as the new Chief Operating Officer.
According to Chennapa Naidu Darapaneni, Co-founder and CEO of MeraEvents, the company has been growing in a very niche space of events in India and has aspirations to lead this growth elsewhere. Naidu believes that the new talent would bring to table  greater value by enhancing growth rate and business visibility. He explains that the talent will help the company optimize processes, operations and attain better investments to accomplish its ambitious expansion goals. Naidu says “what got us here will not take us where we want toâ€ÂÂ, explains very well that the company had reached the point to acquire more leaders to scale further.
