UXINDIA 2016 & WHY IS IT FOR YOU?

“Design is the future and I want to see more Design Founders”, emphasizes Bapu, he continues to say that the most tech startups have founders either from business management or from development but he envisions a new wave for the future.

Kaladhar Bapu the founder president of UXINDIA is a pioneer in Strategic Design Thinking. His contribution to user experience design has been tremendous from being one of the first people to get user experience design to India almost 16 years back to leading revolutionizing boot camps such as Boycott Bad designs and World Usability Day campaigns.

He says it all started when he started figuring bad design in small things such as the push and pull of doorknobs. He believes that the user should not be blamed or get into embarrassing situations because of bad design. He urges people not to take this as norm but to question it, and these questions lead to more efficient and pleasurable user experience.

When it comes to a product or service the thing that matters the most is user experience and creating impact, this is user experience design. UXINDIA is a platform where thought leaders in design would their share knowledge, where institutions and individuals come together to raise the design quotient and ultimately build towards prevailing impact.

The confluence promises to get renowned international trailblazers such as Jay Peter’s, Managing Director of Park USA, Andrew Mayfield, CEO of Optimal Workshop and many more biggies in Design Management & Leadership. It’s definitely going to be a power packed weekend spread over three days with numerous International and Indian UX and usability though leaders sharing their stories, mentoring the new startups and also imparting knowledge through workshops so that the attendees get a hand-on experience.

Bapu confirms that UX has a very different perception in India when compared to the west. In countries such as USA, people value UX designer a lot more and the developers work together with the UX designers to reach a solution or to continuously create better output for the users. In India, though times are changing, many companies have a rigid mind frame and the more importance is given to the developers than designers. Conclaves such as these are here to bring about a revolution not only in companies but also in the mindsets of people. UXINDIA has all its efforts in creating awareness, educating and eventually creating long term impact.

There is going to be a track for every level, whether you are at a basic, advanced or leadership level, this conference has you covered and has a unique custom-made track for each participant. One of the interesting tracks is Women in Design where successful innovate women leaders are going to be sharing the accomplishments, stories and takeaways for newbies who are looking at design as a career option.

Kaladhar Bapu has himself graduated from the prestigious Pratt Institute, New York and IIT Bombay. Having such a strong academic background, it was an obvious move to have Industry and Academia Fusion in the conference. This is picture perfect marriage of industry opportunities with talent from institutes, while addressing the challenges and bridging the gap from theory to practicality. Complimenting that is the UX Talent Fair where employers can source the brightest minds in design and vice versa.

Another highlight to look out for are the UX Clinic, where leading industry experts are going to help startups with the right design strategy for innovate scalable products.

It is a very interesting time for the startup ecosystem in Hyderabad. Having patrons like KTR, IT Minister, and Jayesh Ranjan, IT Secretary has definitely been a big boon for the Telangana estate. They have been instrumental in influencing the UXINDIA team to bring this back to Hyderabad after having several years consecutively in Bangalore. I urge all of you to take full advantage of this.

And if you would like to get the experience India’s largest conference on user experience design, then block your calendars for the upcoming UXINDIA happening in Hyderabad on Oct 20th -22nd
