Book Hotel Rooms by the Minute through Pobyt app

The travel pattern of the people in cities have has changed drastically. Due to real-estate cost, people are buying houses at outskirts of the cities, which has inversely increased the travel time of working class people.

What if there is a platform which provides a third place between Home and Work, where you can relax, unwind, Transform your look from morning to evening meetings or events, crank out work using Wi-Fi and etc.  check-in and check-out a hotel anytime and just pay for the time you require a hotel room for!!

Pobyt, a Hyderabad based start-up with a team of 15 people has launched a mobile application that enables people to book and use luxury hotel space by the minute. You heard them right “by the minute.” They are changing the way people move in cities, and they believe people no longer have to commute back home to enjoy and use the amenities and comforts of home. Imagine yourself carrying a luxury, bed, bath, and shower in your pocket where you can stay as long or as short as you like.

Pobyt hotel rooms are good for plenty more than just romance and napping, You can use them as quiet spots with Wi-Fi to crank out work on deadline, places to quickly shower and change as you shift from daytime to evening meetings, or as refuges to rest up in after redeye flights, great option for long-distance commuters and it is useful for nursing mothers.

It was founded by Nikhil Reddy Gurrala who have completed Bachelor in Computer Science and Marketing from Arkansas State University and Worked in the USA for 5 years before moving to India. The co-founders are Nihal Reddy Gurrala completed his Bachelor of Science from James Cook University Singapore and Masters in Information Technology from Texas A&M and Meghana Kolan who has Dual Degree in Electrical Engineering from IIT Madras.

In today’s competitive world, businesses continuously try to achieve higher efficiencies. The constant state of flux continues to make things more challenging! Despite technology opening wide spaces to explore solutions which were challenging for the team to present before the hoteliers – achieving maximum occupancy of their hotel space. It requires a novel solution to enhance the way the hoteliers and the customers interact.

And that’s exactly what Pobyt offers.

This revolutionary new mobile application is changing the way the customers interact with the hotels. It taps into the hotels which have unoccupied rooms and makes them available to customers looking for a shorter than over-night stay. Thus, Pobyt customers add on to a hotel’s revenue while keeping intact the regular customer base. Customers will be at the hotel within 60 minutes of their booking. So, there is no advance booking with Pobyt. Further, Pobyt customers could make every single minute more valuable to the hoteliers than a regular overnight customer.

Pobyt is very similar to booking an Uber or Ola. In just three taps, the guest can book and confirm their stay on the app. After booking Pobyt guests are notified that they have 60 minutes of complimentary travel time to reach the hotel. Payment begins when they check in and pick up their key at the front desk or 60 minutes after they tap Book Now.

It is the only platform in India that allows customers to book hotels Per Minute, and decide the hour of check-in and check-out. Minimum Stay on the App is 3 hours. There are few players in the market where customers can book rooms on 4, 8, 12 hours slots but not as flexible as Pobyt. Most of their competitors are only available on Play Store. They started operating on both iOS and Play Store since day one.

Currently, they are operating in Bangalore and Hyderabad and planning to start it in Tier 2 and Pilgrim cities like Tirupati, Shirdi, Vizag, Vijayawada, and Mysore by the end of this year. Their expansion plans are guided by data; customer requests and feedback drive their expansion targets, and we will need strong geographic diversity to launch in any market officially. “We look at where demand is, and we go deep, we are not in a hurry and want.” Says the founder Nikhil Reddy Gurrala.
