Most comfortable shoes by a Hyderabad based Startup “Neeman’s.”

Neeman’s is the first brand in the shoe that uses Natural and Renewable Merino Wool from Australia, Plant-Based Castor Bean Oil, Recycled Rubber and Wastepaper in making shoes.

“Normal/Regular Shoes are made with artificial and chemically loaded synthetic materials which are bad for the environment.”

“No shoe is designed to provide all-day Comfort”. Currently, shoes are created for different activities instead of focusing on all day Comfort. But Neeman’s Shoes are for young, active, stylish who want a multi-purpose shoe that is both extremely comfortable and radically stylish.

Taran is the brain behind R&D at Neeman’s. He has prior experience in business analytics and strategy for various companies in the USA. At Neeman’s, he is Founder & CEO, manages overall product and market strategy.

Amar heads the entire operations for Neeman’s and he is a veteran in operations with over 15 years of experience in running various start-ups.

Neeman’s product range with three types with Loafers, Joggers and Sneakers.

Neeman’s shoe has breathable fabric with bacteria-killing properties and also makes it cool and odour free in summer whereas the wool ensures that the user does not feel cold in winters. These shoes are extremely lightweight with each pair weighing around just 400gms. These shoes can be washed simply in the machine as well in a shoe bag.

What motivated to start Neeman’s?

During my trip to Spain two years ago, I almost missed a train due to over-packing. The reason: I was traveling with five pairs of shoes. I “needed” a running shoe, a casual shoe, a lounging shoe, and an extra pair just in case. I thought, “Why do I need a different shoe for each activity? Why don’t I have one shoe for all day?” I started looking for it didn’t find it.

With very little background in footwear and design, I traveled to different shoe manufacturing hubs around the world to learn how shoes were made. What I saw left me puzzled. Most of the shoes were made with synthetic and chemical-heavy fibers that are bad for the environment. The question in my mind was, “We look for better, nutritional and organic food, why don’t we look for similar qualities in our shoes?”

This led me to consider using natural sources to make shoes. Merino Wool was at the top of the list because of its amazing qualities. The fiber is very soft compared to traditional wool and can be worn all year round. Sheep produce new fleece every year making the fiber natural and renewable.

After two years of hard work, Neeman’s is born — a classic yet stylish shoe made with natural Merino Wool. It’s India’s first brand that is leading a culture of sustainability and comfort in the footwear space.

“We are exploring to make shoes with other natural fibers which will give more comfortable, sustainable and very important style.

We are planning to open company owned outlets in metros like Hyderabad, Delhi and Bangalore by end of 2020 to reach more customers.

Our next step is to introduce kid’s shoes to target all the age groups by creating best products.

On Demand and request from our customers a special team is working on to bring more designs in all the three types of shoes”, Said Taran.
