SARVA has an online customer base in over 25 countries and is encouraging people to prioritise health and fitness through live sessions at home.

SARVA, India’s fastest-growing yoga and wellness company, is all set to accelerate its digital footprint with undisclosed funding received from US-based VC Fund Mantra Capital, along with a financial contribution from a close strategic partner (the Patni Family). This is a part of the round of funding that saw participation from existing investor Fireside Ventures as well.  This is the first strategic investment by Mantra Capital and will continue to re-envision venture capital with such investments in tech startups that elevate the way people eat, live and thrive

Mantra Capital

Mantra Capital is an early stage cross border venture capital fund focused on investing in tech for human good. It was started by former T- Hub CEO Jay Krishnan, Srikanth Chintalapati, and Kevin Jacobs earlier in January this year. Mantra’s operating thesis is to back entrepreneurs that are reshaping and sustaining humanity through capital, service support, and access to markets.

In the past, SARVA has raised funding from celebrities including Jennifer Lopez, Mark Mastrov – known as the Steve Jobs of Fitness Malaika Arora, Aishwaryaa R Dhanush, Shahid and Mira Kapoor, among others. Through its powerful network of influencers, SARVA has been instrumental in engaging people virtually through various interactive sessions and immunity booster modules in 25 countries, including the US, UK and Italy.

Sarvesh Shashi, Co-founder, SARVA, said, “We are happy to receive this funding from Mantra Capital and the Patni Family Office. Their expertise, along with the infusion of funds, will provide a major boost to our digital initiatives, which are being conducted across 25 major countries globally. During these times, people are constantly trying to find activities that help in redirecting their stress. And what better than yoga, a practice that can help you remain healthy and active both mentally and physically. SARVA’s offerings on its app under the Body and Mind categories have been conceptualised and curated in a manner that provides its users high-intensity workouts, immunity-building pranayamas, sleep stories, meditation modules and much more. These routines have been specially designed, keeping in mind the idea of nurturing a healthy mind and body through yoga.”

“While our digital product was underway and ready to be launched, the heightened investor interest and the current situation fast-tracked it, and we are in the process of raising more capital to enhance our digital offering. We have decided to keep this round open to select new investors on the same terms whom we are in talks with,” Sarvesh Shashi added.

Jay Krishnan, Partner at Mantra Capital said, SARVA’s unique blend of an offline and online playbook is ideal for a market like India. The learnings from the offline market positions SARVA to uniquely tailor its content to be curated on the online platform. Mantra’s policy of backing tech for human good at a time like this is a validation of our support of entrepreneurs like Sarvesh and his team.”

SARVA and premium women-specific brand segment, Diva Yoga have a global digital reach of over 200 million. The brands, together, design, develop and deliver content, under the sections of Mind, Body & Nourish. SARVA aims to organise the currently fragmented yoga and wellness industry, not only in India but internationally as well. SARVA’s offerings are built on the authentic foundations of yoga and provide an immersive experience of holistic wellness, be it through physical training in the studios or personalised, localised and AI-driven experience on the app. SARVA offers more than 25 forms of yoga, bred on authenticity, inspired by wellness routines from around the world and adapted to suit the needs of our customers. Our offering includes styles like aerial yoga, yoga with dumbbells (sculpt yoga), restorative yoga, wheel yoga, and more.

The app hosts an additional range on content, specifically under MIND – like Sleep Stories, Guided Meditation, Mindfulness Music, Stories for Children, and more which are aimed at relaxation, calming the mind, and inducing better sleep. The brand have set out to help people across different countries and make yoga a part of their lifestyle.
